The Future Boss Youth Entrepreneurship Program is dedicated to empowering young adults aged 16-24 from communities of need with the skills, knowledge, and resources to become successful entrepreneurs. Our mission is to bridge the opportunity gap for young people in underserved areas by providing a comprehensive suite of services, including mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, access to capital, practical business training, and on-demand learning.

The Need for Future Boss

Communities of Need are areas and populations that face significant barriers to economic opportunity, often due to systemic challenges like high youth unemployment, educational gaps, and limited access to financial resources. These communities frequently include low-income households, underserved urban and rural regions, and historically marginalized racial and ethnic groups.

• High Youth Unemployment: In underserved areas, youth unemployment rates can exceed 20%, leaving young people without the skills or opportunities to achieve economic independence.
• Educational Gaps: Many schools in these regions are under-resourced, resulting in graduation rates nearly 10% lower for low-income students, which limits their ability to access higher education and job opportunities.
• Economic Hardship: Nearly 1 in 6 young adults in these communities lives in poverty, facing barriers to essential services such as healthcare, housing, and food security, making economic advancement even more difficult.
• Limited Access to Capital: Entrepreneurs from these communities often face difficulties in securing funding. Less than 1% of venture capital goes to minority founders, limiting opportunities for small business growth and innovation.

By addressing these challenges, the Future Boss program empowers young people to overcome barriers and transform their future through entrepreneurship.
